I Corinthians 2:13 tells us the Holy Spirit teaches us. Being Thankful is the most important because we realize what Jesus did for us in saving us to His Eternal Kingdom by paying our penalty upon the Cross!
The next is being Thankful for our loved ones who go all out for us when we are in great need of their help, care and assistance! Believe you, me; I have used up a lifetime and more these past six weeks!
This is the best Thanksgiving ever! The LORD has blessed me with being back in my home very soon! Praise His Holy Name!
During the walk through, I saw all of the hard work Jim, Nellie, and Scott have done!!! I got to see my dogs through the glass door. I think they knew I was there for Dolly was wagging her tail with Gracie beside her and Xena tilting her head as though she recognized a familiar voice!
Thanks be to you, LORD GOD, for allowing me to go home soon!
Thanksgiving comes before, during, and after trusting Almighty GOD with everything that comes into our lives! And believe me, this has been one trying time the last 5 1/2 weeks for my family and me! Praise Him, after the trials comes the blessings! And Lord, I pray you have a huge blessing coming to Jim, Nellie and Scott!
I thank you, Almighty Savior GOD! One Day there will be no more trials, for You have set in place for Your believers, a New Heaven and a New Earth where nothing corruptible will ever enter or exist. (Revelation 21:8)
As Psalm 147:3 says, GOD is always there for His own. I give Him thanks because no matter what occurs, He is with me. All throughout the Book of John, the LORD tells about asking: John 14:13, "What so ever you ask in My Name (Jesus), this will I do that the Father may be glorified in the Son." John 14:14, "If you ask anything in My Name (Jesus), I will do it." John 15:16, "Whatsoever you ask in My Name (Jesus), the Father will give you." John 16:23, "Whatsoever you ask the Father in My Name (Jesus), He will give it to you." John 16:24, "Ask in My Name (Jesus) and you will receive, that your joy may be complete." Thanksgiving to my Savior/GOD, Jesus. For He has surely been answering those prayers I have been asking! If you don't ask, you can't receive!
LORD, all things are in your hands, even I am in the palm of your hand! What thanksgiving! Isaiah 51:16, "I (GOD) have put My words in your mouth. I (GOD) have kept you safe in the palm of My hand." (Eternity with GOD) Thanksgiving unto our Awesome, Almighty, Creator, Savior, Holy Father GOD. We may think we are in control of ourselves, but GOD has had our entire life planned out before we ever drew our first breath! He is Omnipotent!
We give thanksgiving because of Christ and what He has done for us! Our salvation from Christ is our greatestthanksgiving! Ephesians 2:10, "For we are GOD's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which GOD prepared in advance for us to do." (Before creation) That is why we have thanksgiving. GOD prepared it for us before He ever created us! Proverbs 8:23, "I was appointed from eternity, from the beginning, before the world began." Ephesians 1:4. "Even before the world was made, GOD had already chosen us to be His." II Timothy 1:9, "GOD has saved us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to usin Christ Jesus before the world began!" What a thanksgiving! What a gift that has been given to us before the world began!
This is why those in Christ Jesus have His thanksgiving in our hearts, not just for this time of the year; but every day, every moment!
This just does not mean during the "holiday" season, but all year around.
Thanksgiving is expressed in many ways; verbal, actions and interactions, body language, intentions, repetition of expressions. Let us all make sure we do not cross that fine line that can turn our thanksgiving into domination for our own "betterment. "
Proverbs 14:12, 16:25, "There seems a way right unto man, but in the end it leads to death."
Let everyday be a day of truethanksgiving and let it culminate at this time of the year from the bottom of our hearts. Then there is a whole new year to start again with daily thanksgiving.
So, what ingredients are in your Thanksgiving basket? Mercy, Grace, humbleness, Faith, Truth, Forgiveness; all of these make for a soothing salve of GOD's refreshing healing Spirit. Matthew 6:15, Forgive others. For if you don't forgive others, Jesus said, "My Father which is in Heaven will not forgive you." Forgiveness is Thanksgiving in its fullness!
I am so thankful that GOD is so good all the time, even in times of trials. He will never leave you nor forsake you! (Hebrews 13:5)
He has given me a burst of energy that has me walking the hallways with a walker by myself (even though the therapist is near!) They are even sharing with me about a release time in the near future in an upcoming meeting! Thanksgiving and praise is lifted joyfully to my Awesome, Almighty, Creator, Savior, Holy Father GOD!
I am so thankful for all of my family and friends who have done so much for me with all of the prayers, visits, cards, and care for my pets and house (Jim, Nellie, Scott, Alice!)
Anxiety in waiting...patience brings strength! Colossians 1:11, "May you be strengthened with all power according to His glorious might, and all endurance and patience with joy!" Thanksgiving comes when you endure the trials of life with His strength.
......when you don't know why things happen or how long of a trial it will be. No matter what happens, give thanks to GOD! Be in fervent prayer to Him!
John 14:13, "Whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do that My Father may be glorified in the Son!" With thanksgiving in my Eternal Creator, I do as John 14:13 says. I ask believing, that He will soon have me home with my pets He has given to me and restored, or restored enough to be home again and participating in my church again with the video taping of the services.
Praise the LORD! I thank Him for being able to stand up again! The last few days I had a set back!
For those who don't know, I fell October 11, and fractured my left hip. I thank my LORD even unto now, I have had no problems with my hip or the operation! My left knee is what has been "misbehaving!" I'm hoping to get back to norm and get home to my animals!
I can't thank Jim and Nellie enough for what they have done in caring for my pets (who mean the life to me!) I miss them so much.
What a Day that will be when we enter His gates with Thanksgiving in our hearts!
GOD's Love endures forever! All throughout the Psalms, our LORD mentions how His Love endures for us forever! Just a few: Psalm 100:1,5 Psalm 106:1 Psalm 107:1 Psalm 118:29 Psalm 136:1 Thanksgiving is an every moment praise and not just one time of the year. However, what a culmination of praises when families and friends get together to give Almighty GOD our thanksgivings!
Every day is a day of Thanksgiving to my Awesome, Almighty, Creator, Savior, Holy Father GOD! John 16:33, Jesus said, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I (Jesus) have overcome the world!" He did this for the sake of His Elect. We too will overcome the world! What a reason to be thankful to Jesus for every moment we breathe!
