A Touch of New!

The old may not look so old,

but up close...blah! The

couches are 25 years

old!

The big couch's cushions were so worn,

they were splitting!

Ta-da!

I went from sofas with quilted cushions

to LEATHER!

Believe it or not, the new smell of the

leather has totally repelled Xena

(Bullmastif) from getting

upon it. Sam is so old now

he can no longer climb up.

Dolly and Gracie never got

on them anyway!

Now, to get the carpet ripped out

and my laminate flooring

continued! You can just

barely see it on the

left!

What a nice smell the

leather has too!

  1. Hi Susie

Very pretty. I love the smell of leather but have never had it before because of our pets. We keep blankets over our sofa and remove them when we have company. Now pet hair, that is a problem. If someone has black on I will usually grab a towel for them sit on. It is a pain but this is our pets home too.

Looks like you have a lot to keep you busy. We have oak wood floors that are original to our 60 year old home. We still have carpet in the guest room and our bedroom. The guest room has the oak floors but under the carpet in our room is a cement slab since it was added onto the house. I would really like to put wood floors there too but we need to wait a couple of years.
Can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks for the prayers and encouragement.

    Blessings & Love
    Janet

  2. Hi Susan,
Your new sofas are really pretty, nice style and a nice neutral color. Always love the new scent of anything. that is good it repells the dogs, that will make it easy to break them from getting on it. I always found it easy to break our dogs from getting on new things, cause they weren't use to it, and they sort of felt strange about it anyway!!

You never sit in there anyway, so they still have their cozy place to be, out with you in the den, and I am sure that is where they would rather be anyway.

    Congratulations on your new furniture!!

Was thinking if you new someone else that could put your floors in that we might be able to get your flooring at Sams at a good price, cause they do sell some but it is a limited selection,
but we have seen some pretty ones before. Have
you heard anything back from Gary???

    Take care,
    Love ya, Nellie
