Peace in Persecution

How can joy and peace be present while one is being persecuted or bullied? Christ had the perfect answer to that question when He replied, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34) This was said as He hung on a cross after being beaten, His back torn to shreds, a crown of thorns jammed onto His head, nails hammered through His hands and feet. Then came the three hours of total darkness at noon time! He took the sins of entire mankind past, at that present time, and future! Those who do not know the peace of Christ through salvation in Him, cannot comprehend it. Christ said, "Love your enemy, pray for those who persecute you, do good to those who hate you." (Matthew 5:44) We are to forgive others whether they accept it or not. GOD says, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay." (Romans 12:19) Come to Christ's salvation, not His vengeance. Receive His salvation and begin to comprehend His peace in every moment of life!
