Christians overcome the anger of others by the above means. In doing so, it has an adverse effect on those who are angered at them for their profession of faith in Christ.
Proverbs 25:22, (Doing good to those who hate you will...) "For you will heaps coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD will reward you." Doing good to those who hate you literally 'eats them up inside' because they can't or won't understand the power of Christ in you which gives you the strength to do so!
Romans 12:20, "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For by doing so you will heap burning coals on his head."
Burning coals has 2 diverse effects. One is for punishing, the other for cleansing! 1. Punishing Revelation 19:20, "...these two were thrown into the Lake of Fire which burns with brimstone (burning coals!) As will with all of men whose names are not found in the Lamb's Book of Life (Revelation 20:15) 2. Cleansing - Isaiah 6:5-7 speaks of Isaiah being a man of unclean lips. A seraphim (holy angel) takes tongs with a burning coal touching it to Isaiah's lips which removes his iniquity and sin.
Do you have the cleansing of Jesus' blood upon you so that you do not have to forever be in the Lake of Fire that burns with brimstone? Jesus is GOD in the flesh and He has made a provision for your sins to be forgiven just for your asking Him to do so! Ask Him, truly ask Him from your heart today, not just a mindset, and you will receive His Holy Spirit in you to guide and direct your life. Read His WORD, the Bible, and His Spirit will open up to you the things of eternal life in Him that you never realized!
