The Last Supper

John 13:21-30, "Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, 'I tell you the truth, one of you is going to betray me.' Peter leaning back against Him asked, 'LORD, who is it?' Jesus answered, 'It is the one whom I give this bread when I have dipped it in the dish.' Dipping the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot. As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. Jesus told Judas, 'What you're about to do, do quickly.' No one at the meal knew why He said this to him. Since Judas had charge of the money some thought Jesus was telling him to go and buy bread. As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. It was night."

This shows that no matter what happens, even right "under our noses," there are times we may not understand the full realm of what has happened. The very one the disciples considered to be one of them was about to betray not just Jesus, but each one of them. That is why it is so important for us not to take our heart off of Jesus' leading by His Holy Spirit. It is so easy for Satan to turn our life off the path the LORD has us on if we don't stay fully connected to our LORD. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to, "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."
