Are You Among the Thorns?

It's amazing in gardening how unattended soil will have thorns come up and crowd out the plants you have unattended! It is so in our lives if we don't be attentive continually about things that come into our lives! We hear, "It's the popular thing now days!" "Try it just this one time!" "Everybody's doing it!" The more "thorns" there are, the less sensitive we become to the truth.

Matthew 13:22, Jesus explained, "The one who receives the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the Word, but worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth chokes it, making it unfruitful."

7 reasons to not let the thorns of worry take over your life:
1. The same GOD who created life in you can be trusted with the details of your life. (Matthew 6:25)
2. Worrying about the future hampers your efforts of today. (Matthew 6:26)
3. Worrying is more harmful than helpful. (Matthew 6:27)
4. GOD does not ignore those who depend on Him. (Matthew 6:28-30)
5. Worrying shows a lack of faith in and under standing of GOD. (Matthew 6:31-32)
6. Worrying keeps us from real challenges GOD wants us to pursue. (Matthew 6:33)
7.Living one day at a time keeps us from being consumed with worry. (Matthew 6:34)

So, let not the thorns of worry consume you and your life!

Which Best Describes Your Heart?

Do you have a heart of stone?
Does your heart turn away the message of Jesus Christ and His salvation for you? Do you continue to reject listening to your need for eternal salvation? Do you have a cold heart to GOD's Son? You then have a heart of stone for life eternal with our Awesome, Almighty, Creator, Savior, Holy Father GOD.

That stone can be broken by trusting in Jesus as your savior.

"All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD" (Romans 3:23)

"GOD so Loved the world, He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him (Jesus) shall have eternal life." (John 3:16) That belief is a heart belief not a head belief. Accept Him today and the stone around your heart will break loose with GOD's mysteries being revealed to you!

Which Dirt Do You Have?

Good Soil Verses Bad

Matthew 13:3-9, "Then He (Jesus) told them many things in parables, saying, 'A farmer went out to sow his seed. Some fell along the pathway where birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places not having much soil. It sprang up quickly, but the sun came up scorching because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns which grew up and choked out the plant. Still other seed fell on good soil where it produced a crop. He who has ears, let him hear.' "

A parable compares something familiar to something unfamiliar. Some will hear and others will not want to listen. Those who are receptive to spiritual truth will understand. To others it will only be stories without meaning.

In this parable the farmer sowed good seed, but not all produced because of the soil. The Seed is the WORD of GOD. The soils are mankind: pathway, rocks, thorns, and good soil. Pathway is where it is trampled upon or devoured. Rocks are the "hardheadedness" of the heart. Thorns are the influential factors choking out the truth. Good soil is enriched with the willingness to be spiritually open to hear, process, and apply the WORD of GOD:
1. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of GOD. (Romans 3:23)
2. Jesus died for your sins. (Romans 5:6)
3. Repent and accept Jesus as your Savior and       you will be saved. (Acts 2:21)

What soil do you have? Do you want to listen or refuse to listen? Where you spend eternity is your choice. Accept Jesus-eternity with GOD. Reject Jesus-eternity in the Lake of Fire. (Revelation 20:15)

The Greatest of the Word New

Happy New Year

We like to bring in the New Year with fireworks! There are going to be three New listings coming in our future; the New Heaven, the New Earth, and the New Jerusalem, of which their beauty is beyond comprehension! And what fireworks will bring them into being!

Revelation 21:1-2, 15-16 "Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and first earth had passed away and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from GOD. The Holy City was as high as it was wide and long (1400 mile cube!)" That height surely is larger than any city man could make! Just think what size the new earth has to be to have the new Jerusalem sitting upon it!!! Our space shuttle was only 200 miles high! It would have to go 1200 miles higher to equal the height of the new Jerusalem!

Revelation 21:5, "He Who was seated on the throne said, 'I Am making everything new!' "

2 Peter 3:10, "The day of the LORD will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare! (verse 12 continues) That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire and the elements will melt with fervent heat." (ASV) Scientist have found that each atom has a violent vibrating mesh inside and they don't know what keeps the atom from exploding on its own! I know! By Almighty GOD's word they hold together. One day He will speak and release His hold and the entire universe will melt with fervent heat!

2 Peter 3:13, "But in keeping with His promise we are looking to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of the righteous."

Time is approaching quickly! Will you be apart of these New Wonders of Almighty GOD? You can be by accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior.

1400 mile cube of the New Jerusalem! Can you imagine the size of the New Earth!!

What Kind of Fruit Does Your Life Produce?

Matthew 7:16-19, "Jesus said, ' Watch out for false prophets. By their fruit you will recognize them. Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus by their fruit you will know them.' " This is a parable that shares man being the tree and the fruit (good, bad, or none) being man's works.

Ephesians 2:9, "Salvation is a gift, not of works least anyone should boast." No one can "work" their way to heaven. The "good" works come from the Holy Spirit working through you for His glory. These acts of love will be rewarded by Him in heaven. This is not done on your own accord, but the leading of the Holy Spirit in your life by accepting Jesus' death on the Cross for your sins.

Accept Jesus' free gift of salvation and begin experiencing the Season of Joy in the LORD that lasts all year around.  May your Christmas tree remind you of Christ and not man's secular substitute. Bear good fruit by the leading of the Holy Spirit Whom you receive upon salvation. May this Christmas bear much fruit through you.

The Only Way

Genesis 1:26, "Then GOD said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, in Our likeness' " Jesus has always existed before He ever became incarnate in a body. Let us remember this time of the year when GOD became Man to save mankind from sin.

Matthew 7:13, "Jesus said, 'Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to (eternal) destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to (eternal) life, and only few find it.' "

Let us remember this season of Christmas is all about remembering our Awesome, Almighty, Creator, Savior, Holy Father GOD!

We are going to live forever! When you cross that line of this world's end, where will you go forevermore; the New Heaven, New Earth, New Jerusalem or the Lake of Fire?

Christmas is not just about the Christ Child, but our eternal Salvation. The greatest gift that could ever be given was when Jesus gave to us eternal life by taking all our sins upon His perfect Body. All we need do is accept His gift!
