Seek His Light!

Psalm 112:4, "Even in darkness, Light dawns for the upright, for the gracious, compassionate and righteous man. vs 7, He will have NO fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast trusting in the LORD. vs 8 His heart is secure, he will have NO fear; in the end he will look  in triumph!"

Praise our LORD Jesus Who is our Light of the world!

Jesus is the Light of the World

Trust in the LORD Jesus for your salvation and the Light of His infilling will open up your spirit which has been dead. Those who have not accepted Christ as their Savior have no knowledge of His Light. To them it is foolishness. (I Corinthians 2:14) Accept His salvation for you and He will open up a knowledge in you this world can never equal!

Don't Be A Bonneville Saltflat

Matthew 5:13, "If it loses its saltiness...it is no longer good for anything except to be trampled by men."

Are You Preserved or a Pillar of Salt?

Salt is also known to be a preservative. In the past, meat was preserved in this manner when there was no refrigeration. The LORD has "preserved" us in His salvation. Therein we are to be the "salt of the earth" bringing His savory message to the lost.

Salt is also known to be what happened to Lot's wife when she disobeyed the LORD and looked back at the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. She became a pillar of salt. (Genesis 19:26)

Have You Lost Your Saltiness?

Matthew 5:13, "But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men."

"If we are too much like the world, we are worthless. Christians should not blend in with everyone else. Instead, we should effect others positively, just as seasoning brings out the flavor in food." (Bible Commentary) How can we effect others positively?

Jesus said, "Love the LORD GOD with all your heart, soul, body, and mind. Love your neighbor as yourself." (Matthew 22:39, Mark 12:31, Luke 10:27)

GOD is absent: 1. When men follow the ways of the world (Ephesians 2:1-3) 2. When the mind stays on earthly things (Philippians 3:18-20) 3. When men are lovers of self rather than GOD (2 Timothy 3:1-9)

Be ye salt of the earth, bringing the flavor of GOD's salvation through Jesus Christ to all mankind. The eternal reward is greater than any "savory dish!"

Salt of the Earth

Matthew 5:13, Jesus spoke, "You are the salt of the earth. But, if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men."

"If a seasoning has no flavor, it has no value. If Christians make no effort to affect the world around them, they are of little value to GOD." (Bible commentary)
