Seek Christ in Your Asking

Matthew 7:7-12, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you..."

I'm so blessed our LORD has criteria for asking. Does this mean we can ask selfishly and He will answer them? He knows our needs and has already promised us He will supply them. In Philippians 4:19 He tells us, "...God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus."

Matthew continues, "If your own son ask for bread, will you give him a stone? Or if he ask for a fish will you give him a snake? You know how to give your children good gifts, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to you who ask Him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you."

We know not to sin in asking GOD for the good things He has promised to us as well as praying GOD's gifts for others. To know GOD's will is to know His salvation in Christ Jesus, and all these other things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first the Kingdom of GOD and all these things will be added to you." These things refers to the worries one may have concerning one's own needs.

A famous song has words, "Are you weak and heavy laden with a burden of care?  Bring it to the LORD in prayer." He does answer your prayers.

Judge Righteously

Matthew 7:1-2, "Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured (to you)."

That doesn't mean for us not to judge.  Every day we make judgments in the decisions we have to make. We judge ourselves  in doing what the Bible tells us to do and NOT to do. We are to share these truths with the world so they too will judge for themselves what GOD's Word tells man about sin and the eternal effects it has for every individual.

We are told in GOD's Word to put on His armor:

Ephesians 6:14, "Stand firm...with the breastplate of righteousness in place."

Since we belong to Christ, we are told to:

I Thessalonians 5:8, "Let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate."

Christians are to judge, but in righteousness as Christ Jesus has taught. It's not done with prejudice but in love leading to His salvation from sin. For His Word also tells all of us, saved and unsaved:

But praise be to His Name:

Have you made the judgment call upon yourself realizing you are a sinner? You can be forgiven by our Almighty Savior GOD, Jesus Christ, by asking Him to forgive your sin and come into your heart. Then you will see through different eyes the true meaning to judge righteously.

Do Not WORRY About Your Life

Matthew 6:25-34, "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.

"Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Why worry about your clothes? See the lilies grow...

"They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If this is how GOD clothes the grass of the field which is here today and gone tomorrow, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith!

"Your heavenly Father knows you need these things...

"Therefore, DO NOT WORRY about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Planning is time well spent, but worrying is time wasted. Trust the LORD and seek His guidance. The LORD does not lead us astray.
