Genesis 2:16-17, " The LORD commanded the man saying, 'From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of good and evil you shall not eat, for the day that you shall eat from it you will surely die.' " Notice, Eve had not been created yet. This was the only Law GOD had given to man. Man didn't listen. The Fall occurred and led man to be cast out.
Genesis 6:5, Mankind became so evil and wicked. "The LORD was sorry that He had made man and He was grieved in His heart!" Noah and his family were the only ones of mankind saved in the world-wide flood! (Genesis chapter 7)
Exodus 20:3-17, GOD gave man the Ten Commandments through His servant Moses on Mt. Sinai.
The following are a copy of the Law to man.
Over 1500 years passed and the Pharisees had made these 10 into hundreds of laws (man-made.) Sound familiar to today's society?
Leviticus 19:18, Christ repeated the law of loving your neighbor as yourself. He made all of the Law into two:
Matthew 22:37-40, Mark 12:29-31, 1. "You shall love the LORD with all your heart, soul, body, and mind. 2. You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
I would say the majority of the world hates themselves by the outward show of their deeds (as well as the inward deeds we do not see, but Almighty GOD does!)
If you don't know Jesus as your Savior, this will be as foolishness to you, the Bible says so. (Romans 1:22.) Open your heart to His Salvation and see the Glory of Almighty GOD!
