Jesus Heals Even Today

Matthew 8:1-4, "When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed Him. A man with leprosy came and knelt before Him and said, 'LORD, if You are willing, You can make me clean.' Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. 'I Am willing,' He said, 'Be clean!' Immediately he was cured of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, 'See that you don't tell anyone. Go show yourself to the priest and offer a gift Moses commanded as a testimony to them.' "

Commentary: Leprosy in those days, like AIDS today, was a terrifying disease because there was no known cure.    Sin is also an incurable disease and we all have it! Only Christ's healing touch can miraculously take away our sins and restore us to real living! Man must realize our inability to cure ourselves of sin. Ask Christ Jesus for His saving power and you will receive!

Is Your House Built Upon the ROCK?

Matthew 7: 21-28, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'LORD, LORD,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day, 'LORD, LORD, did we not prophesy in Your Name and in Your Name drive out demons and perform miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Depart from Me you evildoers!'

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. When the rains came down, the water rose, and the winds blew against his house, it did not fall because it had rock as its foundation.

"But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does NOT put them to practice is like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand. The rain came down, the floods came up, and the wind blew against the house and it fell with a great crash!

"When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at His teaching because He taught with authority."

Do you have your life based on Jesus and His salvation for you? GOD's Word says in Romans 10:9,

Your life will change and you WILL begins doing works for Him in sharing His Word and living your life for Him!

Are You Producing Good Fruit?

Matthew 7:15-20, "Watch out for false prophets.

"By their fruit you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Likewise every GOOD tree bears GOOD fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

"Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

"Thus, by their fruit you will know them (whether they are of GOD!)"

Knowing Jesus as your Savior and Redeemer, His Spirit guides you to do His will. His will produces "good fruit."  Good works alone with out knowledge of Christ's leading will not produce a heavenly existence. Just "doing good" without the knowledge of Christ's salvation will not "get you to heaven."

James 2:14, "If a man claims to have faith but has no works, what good is it?"

James 2:20, "Faith without works is useless."

James 2:24, "A person is justified by what he does (for Christ Jesus) and not by faith alone."

James 2:26, "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead."

Matthew 5:16, "Let your light (works) shine before men that they may see your works and praise Father GOD in heaven!"

The Only Way To Eternal Life

Matthew 7:13-14, "Enter through the narrow gate...

"For wide is the gate and broad the road that leads to (eternal) destruction, and many enter through it...

"But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to Eternal Life and only a few find it."

Few find it due to not wanting to give up their worldly ways of sin. No one is promised the next day, so those waiting to "do it later" will find it's too late for them! We are not guaranteed the next second in this life! Eternal Life with our Awesome, Almighty, Creator, Savior, Holy Father GOD we can't begin to comprehend due to our minds being incomplete in this fallen world. But, those who have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior, His Holy Spirit has entered and given us a wisdom the world does not have! Come to Jesus now by simply confessing your sins to Him and asking Him to come into your heart and He will!

Seek Christ in Your Asking

Matthew 7:7-12, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you..."

I'm so blessed our LORD has criteria for asking. Does this mean we can ask selfishly and He will answer them? He knows our needs and has already promised us He will supply them. In Philippians 4:19 He tells us, "...God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus."

Matthew continues, "If your own son ask for bread, will you give him a stone? Or if he ask for a fish will you give him a snake? You know how to give your children good gifts, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to you who ask Him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you."

We know not to sin in asking GOD for the good things He has promised to us as well as praying GOD's gifts for others. To know GOD's will is to know His salvation in Christ Jesus, and all these other things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first the Kingdom of GOD and all these things will be added to you." These things refers to the worries one may have concerning one's own needs.

A famous song has words, "Are you weak and heavy laden with a burden of care?  Bring it to the LORD in prayer." He does answer your prayers.

Judge Righteously

Matthew 7:1-2, "Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged and with the measure you use, it will be measured (to you)."

That doesn't mean for us not to judge.  Every day we make judgments in the decisions we have to make. We judge ourselves  in doing what the Bible tells us to do and NOT to do. We are to share these truths with the world so they too will judge for themselves what GOD's Word tells man about sin and the eternal effects it has for every individual.

We are told in GOD's Word to put on His armor:

Ephesians 6:14, "Stand firm...with the breastplate of righteousness in place."

Since we belong to Christ, we are told to:

I Thessalonians 5:8, "Let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate."

Christians are to judge, but in righteousness as Christ Jesus has taught. It's not done with prejudice but in love leading to His salvation from sin. For His Word also tells all of us, saved and unsaved:

But praise be to His Name:

Have you made the judgment call upon yourself realizing you are a sinner? You can be forgiven by our Almighty Savior GOD, Jesus Christ, by asking Him to forgive your sin and come into your heart. Then you will see through different eyes the true meaning to judge righteously.
