Power Not of This World

Matthew 14:22-33, "Immediately Jesus had the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side, while He dismissed the crowd.

"After He dismissed them, He went up on a mountain by Himself to pray. When evening came, He was there alone and the boat was at a considerable distance from land and buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it!

"During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the water!

"When the disciples saw Him walking on the water, they were terrified! 'It's a ghost,' they said, and cried out in fear! But Jesus immediately said to them, 'Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid.' Peter replied, 'Lord, if it's You, tell me to come to you on the water.' Jesus said, 'Come.' Peter got out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and began to sink! Crying out, Peter said, 'LORD, save me!'

"Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught Peter. 'You of little faith.' Jesus said, 'why did you doubt?' And when Peter climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped Him, 'Truly You are the Son of GOD.'  "

We start out with good intentions, sometimes our faith falters. This doesn't mean we have failed. When Peter failed, he reached out to Christ, the only One Who could help. When we are apprehended about the troubles around us and doubt, remember Christ's Presence and ability are there to help us if we reach out to Him.
