Missouri and the Arch

I just realized you can see the pictures in FULL if you click on the pictures! It surely makes it for better viewing!!

From Memphis, Tennessee we went through Arkansas to Missouri.

It didn't take very long until we came to the Missouri Arch!

It was much bigger (taller) than I thought (as you will see in the following pictures!)

I think my postcard collection has more of Missouri than the other places I visited!

The picture below is one of my pictures! As you can see, the people look like "ants" compared to the height of the Arch!

Before going up in the Arch we looked at the history of building it that was displayed in wooden carved murals!  They were really unique! Some of my pictures didn't turn out due to the lighting, it made them turn out red!

Here I stand in front of one. I can't believe that the Arch was started back in the late 1800's!

Alice, myself, and Brenda after we got out of the "little" car that brought us and two others to the top of the Arch.

You can see we reached the top just at sunset! This is a picture of Missouri from the top of the Arch!

Continued trip through Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee

The capital building was right in the same area as the Churches of MLK.

This was one of the churches he preached in.

This was another church he preached at.

This is a beautiful park in the same area as the churches and capital building.

We traveled on through Alabama and the corner of Mississippi to Memphis, Tennessee where we stayed overnight.

Day one

Now that I have my photo album of my trip run off, I can begin sharing my 14 days of visiting 17 states!
*
Our first state we went through upon leaving Florida was Alabama.

I visited the first "White House" of the Confederacy with my friends Brenda and Alice.

It wasn't that big and didn't last that long!

It was hard to get pictures of all three of us together. We happened to have the worker closing the "White House" to take our 1st one!

I will have many more places of history to share from the State of Alabama!

Heads or Tails

Who's got the big head?

Who's got your tail?

Katy's got Dolly's tail!

Whose tail is longer? (Do curls count?)

Heads or tails?

No matter whose head or tail it is, both "sides" win!

Praise GOD From Whom All Blessings Flow!

The Peace of GOD passes all understanding!
*
"Praise GOD from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him ye creatures here below;
Praise Him above ye Heavenly Hosts;
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.  Amen."
*
This is my favorite praise to give to my LORD when I am in joy or distress.
*
"All things work to the good for those who love the LORD!" (Rom. 8:28) For the blessing that has occurred this week, thank You, Almighty GOD, Creator of everything; All-Knowing! Our future is GOD's past! "Before the world was, I (GOD) knew you!" (Eph. 1:4)
*
Scientist, if you want numbers to blow you mind; GOD knows the number of hairs on your heads 7 billion people x the hairs on their heads = a to the nth power, wow (even those people that have not been born as yet!) He knows the inner workings of every atom in the Universe. We can't even count the number of atoms in one person's body! He knows the number of atoms in the entire Universe; a to the power of infinity! And, He controls them all! The scientist have discovered a violent vibrating mesh in each atom and they don't know how or what keeps it from exploding on its own! GOD's command keeps them from exploding! There is coming a day when He is going to release that command and every atom in the Universe is going to explode and melt with fervent heat! (2 Peter 3:10-12)
*
Knowing these things, I say that to quote this,
"Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what manner of person should you be?  You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to The Day of the LORD!"
(2 Peter 3:11)

In Memory of Tia.

Tia is my neighbor and friend's dog that I would babysit in my yard and house when she and her husband would be gone. She was such a sweet dog and got along well with my dogs!

She was really a sweetheart! Tia loved attention and play. She (as all pets) was glad to see Alice and Boddy when they got home!

Tia and Dolly, toe to toe! We will see you again, Tia! Our LORD created you and I believe He will have a surprise for us when we cross over into Eternity!
