God's Wisdom came to Balaam's donkey three different times when the donkey saw the angel of the LORD and Balaam did not see him! (Numbers 22:21-34) Animals see things that man does not see.

"As for men, GOD tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals. As one dies, so does the other. All have the same breath, man has no advantage over the animal...all go to the same place. All come from the dust, and to dust all return." (Ecclesiastes 3:18-21)
"O GOD, the GOD of the spirits of ALL flesh" (Numbers 16:22)
Again, referring back to Numbers 22:21-34, the spirit of animals is in tune to GOD. They abide in a fallen world, but did not inherit the sin nature that fallen man has. Sad to say they have to suffer for being in the food chain that was strictly because of man's fault, not that of their own. It was the result of what man did, not any of them. Because animals have a spirit from GOD, and did not sin in the Garden of Eden, they have never been separated from GOD as man has due to man's sinful nature. Maybe that is why they have sensory of GOD's angels and we do not. Hebrews 13:2 speaks of this, "...some people have entertained angels without knowing it."
A question in Ecclesiastes 3:21 asks, "Where does the spirit of man and the animals go?" We find the answer in Romans 8:21, "The creatures themselves will be liberated from death and decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of GOD!" Man brought about sin and has to repent to be a child of GOD. The animals didn't commit the sin and do not have to repent. "Man is made in the image of GOD." (Genesis 1:27, 9:6) The animals were not. They were made after their own kind. (Genesis 1:25) They did what they were suppose to in the Garden of Eden, man did not and that's why we are now in a fallen world and the animals have to suffer too. But praise GOD Almighty. When this universe passes away with fervent heat (II Peter 3:10-12), the New Heavens, New Earth, and New Jerusalem will be forevermore (Revelation 21:1-4) GOD's elect will be in New bodies and the animals in their New bodies (Psalm 145:21, "Let ALL CREATURES praise His Holy Name FOREVER and EVER.") to forever be with our Awesome, Almighty, Creator, Savior, Holy Father GOD! The best is yet to come if you know Jesus Christ as your savior. If you don't, salvation is a free gift to you. Humble yourself and admit you are a sinner and ask Jesus to forgive you. He will and you will know it is for real!!!
