The Lazy, Hazy Days of Summer!

I just love manatees! When I taught school, we always had a manatee unit. The kids really enjoyed it!



 

Max never ceases to amaze me! He says so many things:

I don't wanna hear that!

Gimme kiss!

I know it!

How are you doin'!

Stop that!

Bye bye!

Hmmm!

(phone call:) Yea, unhuh, ha, ha, ha!

Come on, Brook, hurry up!
Hey, Baby!

I never know what he's going to say. It's amazing how he knows when to say just the right thing.

*

I went in singing to him and he said, "I don't want to hear that!" Ha! I replied, "Too bad."

*

I can make a kiss sound and he will say, "Gimme kiss!"

*

I told him he was such a pretty bird and he replied, "I know it!"

*

I went in saying hello to which he responded, "How are you doin'?"

*

I'll say to him, "I'm gonna get you," and he replied, "Stop that!"

*

When I take his water in to him, I'll ask, "How's that water taste?" He responds while drinking, "Hmmm!"

When I go to let the dogs in, He'll yell, "Come on, Brook, hurry up!"

When I pass by his room, he will yell out, "Hey, Baby!"
*

When I leave the room, he always says, "Bye, bye!"

 

GOD is so Good All the Time!

The Beauty of our GOD is He loves us so much more than we can realize!

My friend had her first chemo treatment yesterday...8 hours! She was told the more water she could drink the better it would be for her. Just before she was "connected" to the port to receive her treatment, she went to the bathroom. While in the bathroom all to herself she said she had such a profound  experience with the LORD telling her everything was going to be all right!

Today she had done so well. She was somewhat tired, but she slept through the night with no problems and she has had no sickness today! Praise our LORD!

The LORD's sign for us to continue our trip in August was so surprising to her when she was scheduled for two more treatments in July and they told her she would not need another until in September (leaving August open for us!)

God is so Good all the time, all the time GOD is so Good! Thank you LORD, for answered prayers! 

Good News, Bad News.

Praise Almighty GOD! My friend came over today and shared her information with me. All of the body scans and blood tests have come back negative! Thank You, LORD Jesus! I want to thank my family and friends who have been praying for her!

She has to start chemo next week to shrink the lymph node that contains the cancer. Once it has been shrunk, they can operate and take it out. I ask you to continue to pray for her. She has full faith in our LORD for His will in her life.

Update on My Friend

She goes tomorrow for body scans and other tests for cancer. I'm hoping this is just procedure and that the cancer found wasn't secondary. Thanks for your prayers.

Peace Like A River

I would like to ask my blogger friends to pray for my friend. She has found out she has breast cancer.

Sylvia's Little Maxx

 

Little Maxx just loved his bath of a fine mist of water! He was opening his wings to receive the warm water spray. I didn't realize until later that I had sprayed the picture of my neighbor friend and I when (for her birthday) we had some glamour shots! I asked her husband how he liked her glamour shot. His reply was, "I just wonder why I wasn't included!" She replied to him, "Because you aren't glamorous!" lol! (Whoops, got side lined, ha!)  

 

In the middle of the day, Sarah (my 15 year old cat) loves to lay on her window seat in the warmth of the sun. She has been around my birds for all of her life. She didn't take any notice of Maxx.

All the talking back and forth between Cuddles and Maxx throughout the day seems to "sing" Sarah to sleep!
