John 12:20-36, "Some Greeks who came for the feast asked Philip, 'Sir, we would like to see Jesus.' Jesus was told and replied, 'The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Unless a kernel of corn falls and dies it remains a single seed, but if it dies it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life...My Father will honor the one who serves Me. Shall I say, Father, save Me from this hour? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour (to die for mankind's sins.) Father, glorify Your Name!' Then a voice came from heaven, 'I have glorified it and will glorify it again." The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to Him. Jesus said, 'The voice was for your benefit not mine. Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world (Satan) will be driven out. But when I Am lifted up from the earth I will draw all men to myself...you are going to have the Light with you a little longer. Walk while you have the Light before the darkness overtakes you...Put your trust in the Light while you have it so that you may become sons of light.' When He finished speaking, he left and hid Himself from them."
When Jesus was lifted up on the Cross, it was daytime and the most significant event happened that made His crucifixion different from any other! The world went totally dark for three hours (Luke 23:44) when He took upon Him every single sin of every single human being from Adam and Eve to the last human being He will create! The penalty for sin was laid upon Him. He willing took the Father's wrath for sin upon His body! Then Jesus spoke His infinite words, "It is finished!" (John 19:30) Mankind now could be reconciliated to Almighty GOD. Now it is up to each individual to come to Christ Jesus repenting in his/her heart of the sins he/she has committed, asking for Jesus forgiveness. When you do, the Holy Spirit will come to you confirming your salvation in the only begotten Son of GOD! Come today and learn and begin to enjoy the joy of your salvation!
