John 12:12-19, "A great crowd had come for the Feast, they heard that Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting, 'Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD. Blessed is the King of Israel!' Jesus found a young donkey and sat upon it, as it is written, 'Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey's colt.' Only after Jesus was glorified did the disciples realize that these things had been written about Him and they had done these things to Him. The crowd was with Him when He called Lazarus from the grave, raising him from the dead, they continued to spread the word. Many people who had heard He did this miracle, went out to meet Him. The Pharisees said to one another, 'See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after Him!' "
Jesus' actions were all prerecorded in the Old Testament manuscripts. Christ many times in the temple read of these scriptures to the Pharisees, yet in their pride they refused to accept what Christ read to them as well as the miracles He performed before their very eyes! Many prophecies were filled in Christ Jesus while He was here on earth. There are still prophecies to be filled. One of the most important is the Rapture of His Church! Only those who have accepted His salvation (for taking their sins upon Him while on the Cross) will be called up to meet Him in glory!
Matthew 24:30-31, "...the Son of Man (Jesus) will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man (Jesus) coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory! He will send His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect (believers in His salvation) from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other!" This includes those who have already passed away in His salvation as well as those presently alive.) I Thessalonians 4:16-17, "For the LORD Himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of GOD. The dead in Christ will rise first and we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air. So shall we be with the LORD forever!"
