John 12:37-43, "Even after Jesus had done all these miraculous signs in their presence, they still would not believe in Him. This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: 'LORD, who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?' For this reason they could not believe, because as Isaiah has said elsewhere, 'He has blinded their eyes and deadened their hearts so they can neither see with their eyes nor understand with their hearts, nor turn and I would heal them.' (Isaiah 53:1, Isaiah 6:10) Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus' glory and spoke about Him. Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in Him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue, for they love praise from men more than praise from GOD."
Today, the same thing is happening! "Pride goes before their fall." (Proverbs 16:18) A true believer will follow Almighty GOD's leading by His Holy Spirit, but unbelievers will react in one of two ways; 1. In pride they will refuse Christ and it will heap coals of fire upon their heads (Proverbs 25:21-22) or 2. In humbleness they will welcome salvation (John 3:21, Jesus says, 'But whoever lives by the Truth (Jesus is your Savior) comes into the Light so that it may be seen plainly that what He has done (dying on the Cross for your sin) has been through GOD.') If you have Jesus as your Savior, you know this to be true. If you don't know Him as your Savior, come to His Light and no longer be in the darkness of this world's sin. Jesus says in Luke 15:10, "I tell you there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of GOD over one sinner who repents (and accepts the salvation in Jesus)."
